The perahu tambang are a familiar Kuching sight, crossing the Sarawak River and linking thousands of Kuching residents and visitors. For us, they represent connection. In this city, we are all closely linked — six degrees of separation reduced to just one or two.
Kuching is a network of people & places, a city of unity forged of personal ties.
With the perahu tambang as a metaphor for our city, we want to tell the stories of our shared journey, from one side of the river to the next, from the past to the future, from community to community.
